In the past decade, China's white body industry has relied on the dividends of whole vehicle overseas sales to achieve a leapfrog overseas expansion from domestic sales to global supply. With China becoming the world's largest exporter of automobiles, white body assemblies, welding assembly lines, and components are simultaneously entering the world, and the export scale continues to increase, covering regions such as Europe, North America, ASEAN, the Middle East, and South America. The industry has upgraded from simply exporting products to integrating technology, production lines, and standards. Local enterprises have entered the global automotive supply chain with the advantages of lightweight, high-precision welding, and digital production lines, and some companies' overseas revenue accounts for over 40%. The new energy and intelligence drive the iteration of white body technology, and aluminum alloys, hot formed steel, laser welding and other products are widely used, with product competitiveness comparable to international first-line. The coordinated efforts of policies and industrial chains have further opened up the market through RCEP and export facilitation measures. Body in white (BIW) has grown from a supporting role in the automotive industry to a core link in global manufacturing. It supports the globalization of Chinese cars with high-quality supply, and has become an important benchmark for Chinese manufacturing to go overseas.
