In the past decade, China's steel ingot industry has achieved deep and organic integration with traditional manufacturing industries through technological penetration, industrial chain collaboration, and model innovation. At the technical level, the industry focuses on short process steelmaking and near net forming technology, transforming itself into a high-end basic material supplier, providing customized steel ingots with high purity and excellent homogeneity for heavy equipment and large casting and forging industries, effectively supporting the localization of key components such as wind turbine spindles and nuclear voltage vessels. In terms of industrial chain collaboration, the industry uses the industrial Internet platform to achieve data connection with downstream traditional manufacturing enterprises such as ships, mining machinery, hydropower equipment, etc., and forms a collaborative network from order, production scheduling to quality traceability, which improves the efficiency of the supply chain by about 25%. In terms of green integration, the industry has established a cross industry circular economy ecology by directly supplying surplus gas and steam from the production process to adjacent traditional factories such as chemical and papermaking through the 'tempered steel co production' model. At the same time, leading enterprises such as CITIC Taifu Special Steel have shifted from simply selling steel ingots to providing integrated service solutions of 'material design manufacturing process life assessment', deeply embedded in customer research and development. This series of integrated practices not only improves the raw material guarantee level and product performance of traditional manufacturing industry, but also drives the successful transformation of the steel ingot industry from high energy consuming basic raw material production to green and service-oriented high-tech intermediate product manufacturing.
